Weave a Scarf   -  This workshop will go over the mechanics of weaving and you'll weave a scarf. The looms are pre-warped with cotton and rayon yarns to make a colorful seasonal scarf.  This is a beginner class; you don't need to know how to weave or have woven before.  The workshop will be held in our weaving studio at 400 Leland Ave, Plainfield, NJ.  You will be weaving on a small table loom.

Cost is $95 and all materials are included. 

Classes are open to adults 18 years and older.  If you have a group, you may request a date (weekday or weekend) to weave only with you and your friends (3 to 6 participants).

Expected class schedule:

• Bring your own lunch and beverages; tea and instant coffee are available in the studio.
• Arrive at the studio anytime after 9 am, enter through the We Like Yarn shop under the Fleck Knitwear sign.
• Free parking in front of the shop on Leland Ave.
• Class to start at 9:30 am with a discussion of how color shows in weaving, the warp and weft yarns.
• Demo of the weaving process and you'll pick the loom and your weft yarn.
• Start weaving about 10:15 am through to a lunch break around 12-12:30.
• Resume weaving in afternoon.
• We'll cut it off the loom, tie the fringe on the four corners and you may complete the fringe at home.
• Finish up on Saturday around 4 pm.
